Venture Capital IT Manager

Position Overview:

The Venture Capital IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure and services within our firm. This role involves managing a range of IT functions including network administration cybersecurity software support and hardware management. The ideal candidate will be techsavvy detailoriented and capable of working in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee and maintain the firms IT systems including networks servers and cloud services. Ensure systems are secure reliable and scalable.
  • Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and prevent breaches. Stay updated with the latest security threats and technologies.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to staff including troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Manage helpdesk tickets and ensure timely resolution of IT problems.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships to ensure quality service and costefficiency.
  • Project Management: Lead IT projects including system upgrades new software implementations and office relocations. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to achieve project goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure IT practices comply with industry regulations and company policies. Maintain uptodate documentation of IT procedures and systems.
  • Budget Management: Assist in developing and managing the IT budget. Monitor expenses and identify costsaving opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior IT staff. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Cisco Microsoft) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT management preferably within a financial or investment environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems networks and security protocols.
  • Proven experience in managing IT projects and working with external vendors.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical staff.
