Description of Position

The College of Education is seeking applicants for an adjunct instructor in the Department of Educational Leadership to teach one or more online classes in the M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership program and Alternative Certification for Educators (ACE) Institute.
The candidate will be required to obtain Northeastern State University’s online educator’s certification through two online courses.
Each assigned course will be 8 weeks in length. Teaching assignments are not guaranteed each semester and will be assigned on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will teach online graduate education courses in the M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership program and Alternative Certification for Educators (ACE) Institute as assigned.
Duties include
Facilitate asynchronous online courses, guiding learners through pre-designed curriculum.
Engage students by fostering an interactive and supportive online learning environment, providing timely feedback, and promoting active participation.
Evaluate assignments based on predetermined criteria and offer constructive feedback for learner growth
Communicate with students regularly, answering questions promptly, and collaborating with program faculty as needed

Experience

K-12 classroom teaching experience is required.
Online teaching experience preferred.
Familiarity with online learning management systems and educational technology tools preferred
Education Requirements
Qualified candidates will have a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 hours of EDUC coursework or a terminal degree in education and must have current K-12 certification.

Non-tenure track

Salary: $800 per credit hour (typically $2400 per course)
