Job Description

The Assistant Program Administrator – Lexington in the Caylor School of Nursing shall assist the Program Administrator in fullfilment of duties to the administrative head of the designated School and assist in the responsibility for growth and development of School programs, positive leadership of faculty, and effective operations of all aspects within the School. The Assistant Program Administrator shall assist in coordination of the work of the School.

Required Qualifications

*a minimum of a masters degree in nursing required for all CSON faculty positions, a doctorate in nursing is encouraged; *a doctorate is required for teaching in the CSON graduate programs, doctorate in Nursing recommended; *current unrestricted Tennessee licensure and licensure in other states if required for teaching/clinical supervision; *current Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification and *evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity.

Job Duties

  • *attend faculty meetings;
  • *attend commencement activities;
  • *participate in annual faculty evaluation;
  • *participate on University and School committees;
  • *assist with coordinating arrangements for orientation of new faculty and staff members;
  • *assist Program Administrator complete required institutional, program accreditation and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of University programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites;
  • *teaching responsibilities as assigned; and
  • *perform other duties as assigned.
