General Summary of Position:

The Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for Adjunct Professors (standard teaching load 1-2 courses per semester). The successful candidates will be expected to begin work in Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and/or Summer 2025. We are looking for candidates who can assist in teaching BSBA, MSA, MBA, MSF, and MSBA students in the following courses: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I & II, Auditing, Tax, Governmental and Non-Profit Accounting, Fraud/Forensics, and other similar classes. We are looking for candidates to teach both on campus and in our online programs.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Applicants must have earned an MBA or MS degree in a business-related discipline from an AACSB-accredited school
  • Relevant professional certifications preferred (e.g., CPA, CIA, CMA, etc.)
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience
  • Have current or recent industrial, corporate, or new venture experience in the field(s) of instructional interest

Additional Considerations:

  • College-level teaching experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to speak and write English clearly
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using the Blackboard Learn course platform or similar learning management system

This is a part-time, non-benefited, Union of Adjunct Faculty, Local 1596, UAW position.
