Job Summary

The Department of Neurosurgery at Michigan Medicine is seeking a neurosurgeon to join its neurosurgical practice. The successful applicant will be an active participant in the academic mission of the department and institution. Duties include patient care, teaching, administrative, and research responsibilities. Research activity will include initiation of projects, acquisition of external funding, project direction, and publications.
Required Qualifications*

Medical doctorate degree. Completion of a Neurological Surgery residency training program. American Board of Neurological Surgery certification or eligibility. Hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan and a Federal DEA registration. Demonstrated ability as an academic surgeon. Evidence of competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected. Evidence of scholarly ability (publications in peer-reviewed journals, successful acquisition of external funding, etc.) is also expected.
