Job Description
Part-time faculty on the SAN ANTONIO campus. The successful candidate will teach lower-division undergraduate sections of the general education, first-year course MUSI 1306 (Music Appreciation). Summer teaching assignments may be available but are not guaranteed. Teaching assignments are all in face-to-face format and may include day or night classes.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Music or Music Education, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution;
  • 18 graduate hours in Music or Music Education or a similar field.
  • College or University teaching experience.
  • Experience with hands-on teaching techniques.
  • Familiarity with the needs of a non-traditional, first-generation, student body.
  • Completed Ph.D. in Music or Music Education preferred

Texas A&M University-San Antonio: Texas A&M University-San Antonio (A&M-SA) is part of the Texas A&M University System. A&M-SA is a new campus in the established A&M system, serving students (undergraduate and graduate) from a largely non-traditional population.

If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator (e.g., AACRAO; http://www.aacrao.org/credential/index.htm).
