Purpose of Position:

The Full-Time Business Faculty position is a one-year contract beginning Fall 2024 through Summer 2025

Job Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching all business courses in the program.
    • Introduction to Business.
    • Principles of Marketing
    • Business Law I/II
    • Accounting Principles I/II
    • Macroeconomic and Microeconomic Principles
    • Principles of Management
    • Business Communications
  • Advise students and assist with course selection, internship opportunities, and career paths in business.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress and ensure timely submission of reports and evaluations.
  • Develop and implement Program Level Assessment.
  • Complete Program Review.
  • Assist the VPTL to start a bachelor’s degree in business.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development activities, and other initiatives that are aimed at enhancing the quality of the program.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Teaching and Learning to ensure curriculum alignment, course scheduling, program assessment, and student support services.

Minimum Job Requirements:

· Required: Master’s degree in Business or Master of Business Administration (MBA) with at least 18 graduate credit hours in a related discipline from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred: A doctorate degree in Business or a related field
  • Experience working in tribal organizations, in Native American communities, for a Tribal College or University, and/or knowledge of Native American Studies curriculum.
  • At least 1 year of experience teaching Accounting, Finance, and/or Statistics, preferably at a tribal/community college.

Travel:

Occasional travel is required.

Condition of Employment:

  • This is a 100% on-site position.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background screen.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
